Bronze Age Glass Bead Bracelet

Some years ago, I fell in love with a blue glass bead bracelet I saw on the Internet. It turns out, this bracelet is on display at the National Museum of Denmark and I was able to see it in person when I was in Copenhagen in 2023. Since then, I’ve been looking far and wide to make a replica and although I will never be able to fully match the original characteristics and colour, I was able to source similar handmade beads from Ghana, ethically made from recycled glass. The original blue glass beads were thought to have been traded during the Bronze Age by Scandinavians with those from the Mediterranean area or southeast Europe.
